Privacy Policy
Your content stays on your device.
This Privacy Policy explains how Private Voice Notes handles information when you use the app.
What stays on your device
Your recordings, folders, notes, and any transcripts stay on your device. Transcription runs on the device where your device, language, and iOS support it; where it is not available the app does not fall back to cloud transcription. There is no account, and we do not operate a server that receives or stores your recordings.
Analytics
The app's privacy manifest declares no collected data types.
Locked folders
Private folders are protected by your device authentication, which keeps them out of the ordinary folder list. That is a privacy convenience, not a claim about encryption or forensic recovery.
Recordings cannot be recovered
We never receive your recordings, so we cannot restore one that is lost. Export anything you cannot afford to lose.
Recording other people
Consent rules for recording differ by state and country. You are responsible for complying with the law where you are.
What we do not do
- No account and no sign-in.
- No advertising SDKs and no advertising identifiers.
- No tracking across other companies' apps or websites.
- No sale or sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
- No use of your content to train machine learning or AI models.
Children
The app is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Your choices
Deleting the app removes the data stored on your device. Purchases and refunds are handled by Apple through the App Store.
